I am originally from New Brighton, PA. I grew up in a very competitive and athletic family. Even as a young child, I was very active, mostly since I have had and used a pass to our local
YMCA for as long as I can remember. During my high school years I was involved in track and field and twirling as a majorette in our marching band.
I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in Information Science. Right after college, I left Information systems for a short career in sales before becoming a full time mom.
It was then that I rediscovered my love for physical fitness. Because we had 3 children in 4 years, I had some baby weight to lose and I found myself constantly at our local YMCA taking fitness classes. Eventually they asked me to teach and I fell in love. Helping others to become fit and healthy, in spirit, soul and body became my passion! I started as an Instructor, earning certifications for almost everyting you could do on land. Then I became a Personal Trainer. Eventually I became an Instructor Trainer, which allowed me the privilege of training the Group Exercise staff at our facility. My experience at our local YMCA was amazing and allowed me 16 years of great experience of teaching, traing and mentoring.
For the past few years now, I have been working as an independent professional trainer. I am certified through NETA (National Exercise Trainers Association), as a Personal Trainer and Wellness Coach, as well as Kettlebells Specialty Certification, to mention just a few.
